I've been writing Haiku poems for decades but, with rare exception, they've been hiding in old journals and notebooks. As I "dig" them out (and write new ones), I'll post them on this blog along with a few longer poems. During 2011, I challenged myself to write at least one haiku poem a day to post on the blog. And I did.

The Presidents' wars Kill and maim our young people. Will that ever change?
The Congress bickers While people lack food and work. Will that ever change?
