I've been writing Haiku poems for decades but, with rare exception, they've been hiding in old journals and notebooks. As I "dig" them out (and write new ones), I'll post them on this blog along with a few longer poems. During 2011, I challenged myself to write at least one haiku poem a day to post on the blog. And I did.

85 Years is Enough Life
My brother called me, Saying that Mom is dying. She told him "I'm glad."
Called to talk with Mom, She said she's ready to go When her last breath comes.
Said "I love you Mom" And she said "I love you Todd." Perhaps our last words.
