I've been writing Haiku poems for decades but, with rare exception, they've been hiding in old journals and notebooks. As I "dig" them out (and write new ones), I'll post them on this blog along with a few longer poems. During 2011, I challenged myself to write at least one haiku poem a day to post on the blog. And I did.

Ten Years Ago
As the tower fell My heart broke open with tears. I watched and I wept.
Today
New tower rising, Wars started, trillions spent -- The terrorists won.
